Multiple Teams · Results from yesterday’s Cross-Country Meet

Good Morning Knights Nation!

Just wanted to add to your positivity today with some Cross Country results from yesterday.

Delanie Quezada, just the 3rd female in program history to letter 4 straight years, finally won her first race of her Cross Country career. She has been a great athlete who has been overshadowed by a lot of amazing talent, but yesterday she finally had her time to shine!

Our girls won 19-37 and are now 2-0 on the season. Also finishing in the top 10 were Elise Walsh (2nd), Angela Vine (3rd), Jenaya Rodriguez (5th), Frida Arriaga (8th), and Destinee Linville (10th).

On the boys side, Tommy McDonald continued his dominance with his second straight victory. This time he cruised to a 33-second win. Tommy is clearly one of the few who never stopped training 11 months ago.

Our boys won 21-34 and are now
2-0. Finishing in the top 10 were Jaime Gonzalez (2nd), Julio Zamora (5th), CJ Gonzalez (6th), and Travis Pimentel (8th).
Side note: Jaime cut 1:05 off his previous personal best.

Things get real NEXT Friday as we start league at Xavier.
